SEO Company Bangkok, Thailand

December 4, 2011

Many times while browsing the internet I come across poorly constructed ads. For the benefit of this blog, I click on these ads to research their disastrous attempt and online advertising. When clicking on a poorly setup ad, the landing page of that ad usually isn’t much better. When running a Google AdWords campaign there are many factors to which will determine if your campaign is a success or failure. Being a certified Google AdWords Partner Company, Marketing Bangkok is one of the few experts who specialise in the setup, management and optimization for effective English and Thai ad campaigns in Thailand.

A lot of companies are very uneducated and naive when it comes to SEO & PPC. They often choose to have their webmaster, IT or marketing manager setup and run their online campaigns. You will see this in the following example that I stumbled across while enjoying some YouTube videos.

The Advert

Firstly this Ad doesn’t explain anything about the company “Pepscorp” therefore anyone who clicks on the ad is just going to be as random as me clicking on the ad. Remember every time someone clicks on the ad it costs money! That’s why it’s insane to have an ad firstly reach unqualified people, and secondly doesn’t clearly and effectively market anything other than a name.

The company should of setup their ad with their company logo, some sort of sales text and a call to action. This would have let people know who they are, what they’re marketing, and why they should buy from this company.

The Landing Page

After clicking on the Ad you get taken to this really awful looking website, like something out of the early 90′s selling industrial and commercial equipment. I wonder if they even ship their products to Thailand? If not why is the ad running in Thailand. Probably because the person who setup the ad set the ad to run in all countries. And this is usually the case for every company that runs their Google AdWords in-house.

The results from Pepscorp AdWords campaign is likely to be very unsuccessful. Judging by their location targeting, their advert and website they have probably also setup the user targeting as well.

Google AdWords is a great way to generate traffic to your website instantly, track conversions and get your online business booming. However when it is setup incorrectly or not optimised correctly, you end up with fewer conversions and a higher cost per click. Marketing Bangkok is here to help, being a Certified Partner Company with tons of experience in online marketing and managing the AdWords campaigns for companies from all industries we can achieve the following;

  • Research your target audience.
  • Create effective ads that will attract clicks from people interested in your product.
  • Improve quality score resulting in cheaper average cost-per-click and higher ad positions.
  • Track conversion rates and then optimize your account to target the ads and keywords which are converting into a sale/lead.

Nearly 1 year ago we launched the version 2 of our company website. A nice reboot that at the time I thought it’d last forever because I was so happy with the design but as time goes on and looking at the same website for more than 1 year you quickly grow a big list of things that you want to change to your website in-order to improve it and hopefully sales. This new version of MarketingBangkok.com is the third version of this website. It’s important to keep evolving and staying on top of things like maintaining and updating your website, if we had the same website we had 2 years ago then we would not be where we are at today. That said now our new site is done, it is time to allocate some time each month to work on our own SEO once again.

You’ll notice now that on all of our major service pages we’ve included a placeholder for a YouTube video (except our SEO training video as we made this a while back). Video is the way of the future and we hope to remove the place holders and have videos that best describe why MarketingBangkok.com is different from local and international competitors.

We’ve spent a lot of time to insure each page relays as much information as possible, adding a FAQ to each page as well. There are still a few more updates to be done for the website so keep an eye out for them.

Below is the evolution of our website over the past 2 years!

Google lists results of all searches in order of relevance to the search words. How do you become relevant? It’s no use being number nine hundred in order of relevance if people searching Google only look at the first ten or twenty listed. It’s no use having the best looking website if no one sees it. Last week’s post about load speeds on Google’s Official Webmaster Central Blog finally confirmed the rumors which have abounded across the SEO sector for months – that Google now factors a site’s load-speed when assessing its search ranking. (more…)

Don’t overlook your inbound linking strategy as you think about search engine optimization for your site. An inbound link is a hyperlink back to your site from another web site. The one constant and reliable strategy in search engine optimization is that sites with a variety of high quality backlinks rank higher in the search engine results pages. (more…)

Last year, we saw the emergence of the technology PubSubHubbub, which provides real-time notifications to subscribers of content when there is new content or updates being made. There has recently been talk about Google developing a system that would use this technology it its indexing process.

In fact, Google’s Matt Cutts spoke with WebProNews about this, among other things: (more…)

The buzz is growing about Web 3.0, but as usual you have to filter out all the hype, self-serving PR, old-fashioned nonsense, newfangled marketing verbiage and other noise. You will then find a few facts that you can grab onto and try to figure out what’s going on. The first thing to remember is that, like “Web 2.0,” the term Web 3.0 is not an official term of any sort, does not represent any particular protocol or standard, belongs to no one – and is used, misused and made nearly meaningless by everybody. It is, quite simply, just an arbitrary “version number” that, at most, describes how the Internet is built and how it delivers services, at least as of the freeze-framed moment in time that represents the end of 2.0 and the start of 3.0. Google recently introduced us to Real Time Search and this has been met with a lot of questions. What Tweets will show up in real time? How will this affect businesses who are, and those who are not, engaging in social media? How will it affect PPC? Where will the searches show up? The biggest question is what impact will this have on small business? Small business owners are met with limited resources and adding any additional hours into their day is nearly impossible. But can a small business ignore real time search? (more…)

One piece of ‘new media jargon’ that has got the vast majority of business leaders confused is SEO (search engine optimization). Too many people have been charged too much for either inappropriate or ineffective SEO services, often because the supplier does not really understand it either. This two part article is for people who are not experienced or very knowledgeable when it comes to SEO – defining what it is and what it can do.

The introduction and first five steps to SEO heaven discussed how to get a website ready for an SEO campaign. In part two (steps 6 to 11), we’ll explore the continuous and competitive process of earning a high search engine ranking for a SEO prepared website. (more…)

Are you fed up with feeling baffled by search engine optimization (SEO) because of jargon and poor practitioners? Do you feel you have been charged too much for less than you were promised? This two part article sets out to explain the process and put you back in control.

If you have focused objectives and a clear online strategy then SEO will almost always be a good cost effective addition to the marketing tool set. The first thing to understand is that search engine businesses, like Google, Yahoo and Bing, have customers to satisfy too. Their customers are searching and they expect to see the ‘best and most relevant’ search results. I expect like me, you get frustrated if your searches bring irrelevant results first. No surprise then, that the methods used by the search engine operators are designed to deliver customer satisfaction. They work hard to eliminate bogus SEO services that aim to cheat. (more…)
