SEO Company Bangkok, Thailand

January 9, 2011

First off, happy new year to all our friends and business associates, may the new year be a great one for you and your families. I thought i’d start off 2011 with my first post on Facebook pay per click advertising.

Facebook PPC is really quiet intriguing as you can target who your will view your ads, and reach a specific group of people based on their profile information. You might have noticed how certain ads show up when browsing through Facebook relate to topics you’ve specified in your profile or clicked “like”. Well when setting up Facebook ads you can also set who your ads will reach based on age, sex, relationship status location, languages, groups in which they’re a member of, and much more.

Get Microsoft Silverlight

As an SEO company it is always our job to always stay on top and find new ways to constantly improve our clients rankings against their competitors. One of these ways is by staying on top of how Google and other engines determine how to rank your website. This is constantly changing and earlier this year we saw website speed and server location come into play a big role in how localized keywords would rank.

It pretty well known by now that when Google bots check and index your website, your site is compared with Google’s own list of 200 different signals. Here is an example of just some of those signals,

  • Page Rank
  • Hyperlinked search term in inbound links
  • Search terms within page title
  • Search terms within content
  • Bold search terms within content
  • Speed & Location of website

Just to name a few. Based on how your website does with these signals is how well your website will rank for certain keywords is determined. Well earlier this year there were talks of agreements between Google and Facebook + Twitter to allow Google bots to crawl content posted on each social media network, however at the time we did not know how this data would come into play.

Website Design Bangkok

Check out the new updates to our Internet Marketing & SEO blog. We’re probably one of the very few SEO companies in Bangkok, Thailand that regularly updates and maintains a blog that actually contains useful information and observations. I hope you liked our last couple of pieces on Google AdWords!

Whilst working on other projects it is sometimes hard to set time aside for our own website, especially since we always give 100% to our clients. However it is always important to constantly stay on top of your website and try to always improve it. (this may be harder if you’re a smaller company without a full time webmaster.)

(You really want to avoid taking these kind of emails seriously.)

If you have, or are considering exchanging links with someone that has contacted you via email for SEO purposes, then this is a must read post.

Everyday we get emails from other “webmasters” or “SEOS” wishing to exchange links with one of our many websites. The reason why they’re doing this is because they want to build back links into their website to improve their own Search Engine rankings. Now if you are not already aware, incoming links into your website play a vital role in search engine optimization and how your website is positioned in the search engine rankings. There are a couple of reasons for this, for example if you have two websites, both with quality content, both are equally optimized, then the only way to tell which site is of higher quality is by the number of incoming links. Remember Google wants to provide the BEST result to their customers. Each link is like a vote coming into your website, but not all links are equal.

You can determine the value of a link by checking the page rank of the page that you are trying to acquire a link from. Page Rank is determined by the number of incoming links, websites content, and traffic. Websites with a high page rank are considered authority websites and a link by them is definitely going to boost your own websites value. Also when looking to build links you need to be aware of the ratio of incoming to external links is. If there is an excessive amount of external links on the website then the value of the link decreases.

Are Your Throwing Money Away On PPC?

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ad campaigns are a great way to bring in tons of qualified traffic into a particle page on your website. We use Google AdWords for most of our clients and even for ourselves to help promote our 3 day SEO training course. Google AdWords is easy enough to setup and run but becomes much more complicated when it comes to getting the most out of your money. It’s very easy to incorrectly setup your campaign and waste your money, in fact almost every client and student who’s AdWords campaigns we’ve inspected are either setup incorrectly or far from optimal optimization.

We’re always online, either for work or for fun. So when we’re browsing around every so often we find really good examples of internet marketing that inspire us. However, more often than not we find a lot of bad internet marketing being practiced. In this case we have come across another poorly setup Marketing campaign that is costing this particular company money not in potential sales but for every click through. You might of read our post last month, Google AdWords: What Not To Do!, well this is easily much worse! Take a look at the following pictures after the Jump.

As most people are aware of now, Google has released a new function for the search engine called “Google Instant”, this works by generating results as you type in your search or make changes to your current search therefore speeding up the way you search. It has been out for a couple of weeks now and already there has been much debate on the impact of this for SEO.

Goolge has also announced that they have been working on their very own image format to replace decades old formated like JPEG for the web. Here is a quote from Google’s annoucement; (more…)
